6.3c use a landing strip to store things you take off when you get home

A method of avoiding losing important items like your wallet and keys is to have a landing strip for them. Somewhere, preferably close to the front door, where you can put them every time you come home.

My landing strip is a desk tidy that fits my wallet and change quite nicely that I Velcroed to the table it lives on to stop it getting knocked off, because dyspraxia is a common coomorbidity with ADHD. My keys live on a command hook next to the desk tidy.

This means that when I do the "wallet, phone, keys" pat-down before leaving the house, I know exactly where two of the three are going to be. And at least I can ring the last one to find it.

I also have a bedtime landing strip velcroed to my bedside table. This is where my glasses live overnight, along with my inhaler and any jewellery I may have taken off.
